Job Title: Church Office Manager

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to serve as our Church Office Manager. This vital role involves overseeing the day-to-day administrative operations of our church, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our congregation, and providing effective support for church staff. Responsibilities:

Administrative Support:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to pastors, staff, and church members.
  • Manage church calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments.
  • Prepare and distribute internal and external communications, including church announcements.

Office Organization:

  • Maintain an organized and efficient church office space.
  • Manage church supplies, equipment, and inventory.
  • Streamline processes to enhance overall office productivity.

Facility Management:

  • Liaise with vendors and service providers for church-related needs.
  • Ensure the church environment complies with safety and health standards.

Membership and Outreach Support:

  • Assist in maintaining church membership records.
  • Support outreach initiatives and community engagement events.

Financial Administration:

  • Assist in budget tracking and expense management for church operations.
  • Process donations, manage financial records, and work closely with the finance committee and payroll service.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Office Manager or in a similar administrative role, preferably within a church setting.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office suite, QuickBooks, or other accounting software).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, non-profit administration, management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant work experience in church administration or a related field.
  • Experience as a West Salem Baptist Church member is preferred but not required.
